I believe that every pro blogger is working on links building for their professional blog. Links building is part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to bring a higher page rank for your professional blog. If you have many sites link to your blog, your blog crawls to higher rank in the search engine and your blog will receive more traffic.
Conventional Ways of Links Building
The conventional ways of links building that most bloggers do are:
Exchange Links. Exchange links with other blogs to generate two ways links. Of course, you favor popular blogs to exchange links with your blog but the owner of popular blog is often reluctant to exchange links with new bloggers. So, this is an obstacle for a newbie.
Submit Your Blog to Blog Directories. A good blog directory such as Technorati may take months to review your blog especially if your blog is new. Other blog directories require you to put banners on your blog as an exchange link.
Leave Comments at Other Blogs. Choose popular blogs in your niche to leave comments. Be the first to leave a comment so others will see your comment. Give a constructive comment so others will appreciate your comment and they will be attracted to find your blog. You can leave your blog signature or hyperlink text inside the comment box as long as the hyperlink text is relevant and not spamming.
Using conventional ways of links building will make your professional blog is crowded with a long list of blogroll and plenty of banners. It also takes time to look for popular blogs and leave comments.
Smart Article Marketing Strategies for Links Building
Although you can continue to practice the conventional ways of links building above, pro blogger has another way of links building by using article marketing strategies. When you write articles for articles directory, you build one way links for your professional blog and you have no obligation to link their sites in your blog.

Article syndication provides very little worth in today’s marketing strategies, it’s amazing to see so many people highlighting this still as one of their primary marketing techniques.
If for lead generation and targeting the right market then yes, great! If purely for building links and search engine ranking then I’m afraid you are stuck in link building 2005.
Google are smarter than that now.

I have gone through the post even the blog. Site is having good optimization so we quickly finding it from google search. But need more optimization. Also a better idea on dofollow. Like to hear from others also. Some comments are really having influencing character. I appreciate

Its hard to find dofollow blogs, but you can easily find dofollow forums. register yourself and create signatures with your links. posting on dofollow forums can increase your PR quickly.

Great overall info on backlinking. Although I heard some stuff that at this time google consider blog commenting for the most important factor on building backlinks, I think every link count. Thanks for the article.

Yes, I agree Vie. Off page optimization is indeed a factor to maximize search engine visibility of a website. And you are certainly right when you say “we use the right keywords”. If an SEO professional search for the right keyword with less competition plus the sites that link to your website, then your website has a greater chance to be on the top of the ranking.
With that, companies should consider getting a SEO professional who can deliver results. Certainly, not overnight.

Making high quality back links is really one of the nice strategies to consider. Block commenting would surely give you the chance to obtain high quality back link but should consider putting a comment related to the article. Long live bloggers.
