I must say that phrase earn money blogging or blogging for profit is the attraction for people to start their blog. They are eager to find out if pro blogging can make real money.  I can say that superstar bloggers can earn money blogging. I would share some advices that I  put them into practice.

Well, if you are serious to make pro blogging as your career or your business, you need to understand the techniques and the complexity. You have to learn from blog tutorials.

2. Use paid hosting blog

If you are using a free hosting blog, the blog is not yours. You don’t want to put your blog on the risk of being closed right? You need to take a good paid webhosting to host your blog. Don’t use redirect in order to continue your blog in blogspot. You can export the blog content from blogspot to worpress blog. I have a friend who kept his blogspot blog and use redirect when he used paid hosting blog. There is cheap personal webhosting which costs $3 monthly but my advice is to choose a good reliable webhosting which starts from $ 5 onward monthly.

3. Invest in software

2. Discipline and Persistence

You are enthusiastic to create a blog  for the first time. Do you still have the same level of enthusiasm over months or years to maintain your blog? I have seen people abandon their blog because of boredom and lack of enthusiasm. Blogging is a lonely world, you need to exercise self-discipline to update your blog and have a persistence to go for your goal.

I WAS NOT A WRITER 9 months ago. I only wrote occasionally for product reviews for Kidzpuzzle blog if there were new products. I did have a personal blog in blogspot because I followed the herd of bloggers who blog about their personal life. I let my good friends know about my blog and only one or two left comments. How devastated I was. I made conclusion that:

• My life was boring; there was nothing to tell to the World
• I didn’t know what to write
• I have no talent in writing

The turning point happened when I decided to learn professional blogging and Internet Marketing by making investment in e-learning. I know that blogging is one of powerful marketing tool if we learn professional blogging techniques. I was forced to write under the watch of my mentor. I was in doubt whether my grammar was correct and whether the readers would understand my messages. I improved my writing skill through practice and having a mentor really motivated me. My writing reveals my personality and I become more articulate in my writing. I realize when I have knowledge; I have lots of topics to discuss about. My blog topic doesn’t have to be about my family and personal life again.

My advice to bloggers who want to blog but they do not like to write  and they judge themselves of having  I WAS NOT A WRITER syndrome like myself 9 months ago, I have pro blogging tips solution:

1. Look for a role model. The role model can be your mentor. Learn his writing style.
2. Invest in learning so you have a broad knowledge.
3. Decide the topic. Do the research in yahoo search, google search and Ezine Articles to get ideas what to write about.
4. Write your title first.
5. Make bullet points. This will be the list of your ideas.
6. Write short blog post in 250 words.
7. Write in simple language as long as readers get your messages. Don’t worry about grammar mistakes.
8. Write from your heart. Don’t just write about the facts. Give your blog content a personal touch from your experience and voice your opinion.
9. Include photos or videos to make your blog interesting.
10. Write everyday until you get used to it. If you skip a week then a month.  Finally,  you will get demotivated and abandon your blog.

I realize how essential writing skill is.  I encourage my young kids to start creative writing from now on. Through pro blogging and Internet Marketing, I learn how to write articles or blog posts for SEO, analyze the right profitable keywords before I use the words for my blog posts and articles.  I had “I AM NOT A WRITER” syndrome 9 months ago and I’m  having  4 blogs now. The other 2 blogs: parenting blog, Resources for Moms and Kids and my self-branding personal blog, Mompreneur Journey. I also coach people in Internet Network Marketing Home Business and teach them about pro blogging.

My advice to bloggers: get a pen or start typing now and apply my pro blogging tips above  to exercise your writing style.

I’m overwhelmed with the number of comments  for this blog. I guess pro blogging topic attracts more bloggers  as most bloggers aspire to be pro bloggers someday. I really appreciate all the comments made because a blog is nothing without readers and their comments.  But,  I am sorry that I publish the genuine comments only. I have currently 18 blog posts but I receive 70 comments. Okay,  I’m  sharing some tips on how to identify spam comment:

1. Install Akismet Plugin for your WordPress blog. You can set delete spam comments automatically inside Akismet Configuration. But you also  find genuine comments inside the spam comment box too so it is better not to set “automatic”.
2. Allow only one hyperlink text inside the comment box.  Comments that have more than one hyperlink text are mostly spam comment and they will be directed to spam box.
3. Judge the content. From the content of the comment, we can judge whether it is a spam or not.  Nowadays, bloggers also leave pleasant comments and it is a trick. They leave repetitive pleasant comments to build links for them. So, I really can’t judge from the comment alone.
4. I recently use Bad Neighborhood Check Link to identify whether the website or blog URL often break the rules to spam other blogs.  This reveals the truth that other sites block this URL because their of their spam comment.

For bloggers who leave genuine comments, I really appreciate your feedback and input. Often, we have to change the header within the theme to match with the topic of our blog. If you choose a blog theme from free WordPress themes, choose a theme that provides custom-header feature so you can replace it inside your blog easily by uploading your picture file. Otherwise, you have to use File Transfer Protocol or ftp to upload your own header picture. A blog theme with header picture looks great and appealing for the readers.
