Although most bloggers I meet online are still using blogspot because they are free hosting, I have no regret using blogging software from WordPress.org which I need to pay for self hosting. The main reason why I’m using wordpress software as my blogging platform is to pave my path to professional blogging. Here is what is said about wordpress software:

Some benefits that I get from wordpress software are:
- Fast installation of wordpress software to your domain name provided that the web hosting provides you with script installer or Fantastico in the control panel.
- SEO friendly. With the installation of SEO plugins, I can type the keywords for every post.
- Continuous development and upgrade for the software.
- Large selection of blog themes.
- Large selection of plugins to choose from and most of them are free. With plugins, we can customize our blog.
- Trackbacks and pingbacks make easy to track if your articles are picked by other sites.
- You can create categories, sub categories and tags.
There are still other benefits that I haven’t discovered yet and there will be more and more experts to develop blog themes and plugins for wordpress software. It is going to be more excited to see how professional blogging will progress along with the development of wordpress software in the future.

The one thing I have found about wordpress is how easy it is to get going. You do not need any programming knowledge to even instll it on your own domain.
Posting is simple, managing posts is simple and Google does seem to index wordpress blogs quickly!

I could’nt agree more. I never receive any formal training in programming/IT related knowledge before, but having wordpress as platform for my 3 blogs with all useful plugins available, makes me wanna continuously explore its endless possibility.

I know it’s hard to get all the great features WP has in one blog post but i just have to mention WordPress’ schedule post feature. You can right blog posts months ahead of time and schedule them to publish every 3 days or every week!
